Hello everybody! This is Parbati Tiwari, a former student of ‘Help to Educate’. I’ve spent complete nine years of my life(from the age of 9 to 18) staying in hostel under the sponsorship programme out of which I was sponsored by the Help to Educate for the last five years (from grade 8 to 12).
Entering the hostel as a child labour and afterwards leaving it as an adult educated lady; this is something I really want to share with everyone here. During the last four years of sponsorship from Help to Educate, I’ve learnt so many useful things about life that the lessons I’ve gained is more than enough for the entire life span.
In duration from grade 8 to 12, I passed my SLC successfully scoring 71% and afterwards, continued the educational career in the college taking science as my major subject. Doing science was the most happiest and joyful time I’ve felt till now. Meanwhile, I could learn the basic principles and the moral values of life as well. Passing 10+2 science exam in first division provided me additional strength and it helped me develop the confidence needed to move ahead.
In this sense, I’d say the Help to Educate has played the foremost role to drive my life train. My vision for life has totally changed now. 
We used to stay in the hostel under Help to Educate where they arranged free accommodation for needy children like us. We had to live a routine life from morning till we went to bed. On those days, going to school with friends, playing with them, sharing ideas with the hostel teachers and mates –these are things we used to do together. Foreign volunteers visiting the hostel helped us develop the communication skills and the inspiring environment prepared for the children to study is also something I miss still today.
Today, I am rather happy to announce that I’ve better utilized the knowledge and skills I learnt from the aid of the charity -Help to Educate. This gives an immense pleasure to let everyone know that I have been working as a bank staff in Nepal. These days, I work for Nepal SBI (State Bank of India) Bank Ltd.
In this sense, I’d say the sponsored charity has played the foremost role to drive my life train. My vision for life has totally changed now. All the credit goes to the charity that led me the way from darkness to brightness and that uplifted me from that of the sandy mud to the ground. Despite the bad family situation and despite being deprived of education in early childhood, I am a successful lady today because I genuinely utilized the chance provided by Help to Educate. My sincere THANkS with warm appreciation to Help to Educate team. Always wish prosperity by heart.
There are children studying under Help to Educate sponsorship. So my appeal to sponsors and readers is: Please, please help the needy children continue their sponsorship to your final extent because I know how it feels like when the dream concludes without achieving the goal. Your small help plays a vital role in their life.
