Our visit to Kopan

On Saturday, we are all together 15 students and 3 teachers from out hostel went to a visit very famous place called Kapan.  It took us about one hour bus drive from our hostel to the monastery.

On the way of going Kapan Monastery, we were singing, laughing, chatting and listening to music on the bus.  We all were so excited to go there and just thinking how the Monastery is and wanted to get there soon to see.

We arrived in Kapan monastery in around 1pm by a bus. It is also well known and famous monastery like others and situated at the top of hill in the Kathmandu district. As we all know that Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal and it is very famous for temples as well as and people consider it as the country of Temples.  We saw lot of people around there came to visit. The road near by the Monastery was so dangerous and it looks like a snake. Outside the Monastery there was a big gate which is the main entrance to go inside. As soon as we entered through the gate, we went to the restaurant to have some cold drinks.  After that, we visited all around the Monastery.

We also saw many Tibetan people living in Kapan monastery. We took many photos at Buddha Monastery from outside. Our teachers also took photos with us. There were many Tibetan monks taking round to Stupa chanting "OM MANE PEME OM". It was my first visit in Kapan monastery and also my friends too. There was a big building decorated with small Buddha. We saw the beautiful view of Kathmandu valley from there. We took many photos our selves. There were many Nepali and foreigners people visiting at that time. In front of the Monastery there was a big donation box and i found that lot of people were donating money for the welfare of the monks and Monastery. There were other small Monastery and lovely ground to stay where many people were having chat with each other and spending their wonderful time in calm and peaceful environment.

In Kapan, there were so many beautiful and different varieties of flowers all around the Monastery spreading its sweet smell to the environment.  Our visit to Kapan Monastery was so memorable and enjoyable too. We enjoyed a lot with the company of friends and teachers. On the way, we also saw different parts of Kathmandu city, people, and we did lot of memorable things on the bus like singing with friends, taking photographs and so on.

Afterwards, we drove to Durbar Marg (king’s way) in Kathmandu. We stopped there and went the shop nearby there to have an ice-cream and cake. There are lots of big restaurants and shops and we also saw lots of foreigners there having ice-creams and so on. The shop where we went was very nice and surrounded by many beautiful houses. There were many different types of cakes and ice- creams. Among them we chose different varieties of ice cream and cakes and all the cakes and ice- creams are very tasty.
