My name is Samjhana Lama and I am a grade eleven student of Presidency College at Jorpati. I appeared the School Leavers Certificate (SLC) held in 2009 with the help of Little Gems Girls hostel. I am the first student of Little Gems who has taken the SLC exams. When I got success in SLC, I felt very excited and it was the happiest moment in my and I never forget it.

Miss Joanna is my sponsor and so, I would like to thank her for sponsoring me. Today, I am in this position because of Miss Jo otherwise I would be weaving carpets and spending my life with uncertain destination. Now, I can read, write and I have the aim to be a successful person. I have collected more information which are useful in my future life and I will use it to serve others too.
Miss Jo is kindhearted girl. So, I am being helped by her. I can continue my study and make my future bright.
Help to Educate and Little Gems Girls Hostel is an organization which works to help underprivileged children of Nepal. It lies in Bhaisepati, Lalitpur.
This organization is helping me a lot to come to grow and learn. Under this organization many students are getting chance to study, to make their future bright like me. From starting my school life, this organization has been helping me to make my dreams come true.
This organization gives me self confidence, helps me fulfill my potential and teaches me hard working up to this stage. So, that in the future I can help by giving or guiding lessons which I have learned from my teachers.
Now, I am studying as a 10+2 (A-Level equivalent) college student. I have great responsibility for myself, my sponsor as well as my family members. When I was at a school level my seniors said that college life was only to have for fun and entertainment. But when I reach the college level, I feel that I have to study harder than at school level. In school level, I used to be afraid with teacher to ask any kinds of questions but now I can ask any question in any time at college it required.
Lastly, I would like to heartily thank all the sponsors, members, and staff of this organization to make our bright future and sponsoring me as well as other students. I hope this organization also give more priority to needy students making them more graceful, self-confident, make them self capable to make their own decisions for their future.
